1929 Rolls Royce Phantom I tourer by Hooper
The Rolls Royce Phantom I, or as it was originally called the 'New Phantom', was introduced in 1926 as successor to the Silver Ghost. One of the most famous cars the world has ever known, the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost had been in production from 1906.
The size and space associated with the Phantom I is quite amazing. The car has to be one of the "ultimates" in bridal car hire. Ages Past acquired this 1929 Rolls Royce Phantom I tourer by Hooper in 1990 and it has been one of our most popular cars since then for bridal purposes. You can enjoy the car in a totally open manner, or with the hood up and with the side screens (curtains) in or out. It offers amazing space and flexibility.
The car weighs approximately three tons and is powered by an eight litre, six cylinder engine. It does about
five miles to the gallon around town! This is one of the reasons why this car carries a surcharge on
the basic price but this has put off very few brides from hiring this mighty "beast" of a vehicle!
